Scion Hill Gate Lodge was a great value for our money. The room was cozy and beautifully decorated with a mix of old and new. The location was peaceful and offered fantastic views, and we were still close to local villages and towns. The staff, particularly Esther, was lovely, helpful, and always easy to contact.

The morning meal could have been improved with a few extra items like teabags and maybe a loaf of bread.

The lodge at Scion Hill Gate Lodge in Hillsborough was absolutely amazing! The rooms were cozy and homey, with beautiful garden views from the patio. The fully equipped kitchen was a game-changer for a foodie like me - I loved being able to cook my own meals with the fridge, oven, and dishwasher all at my disposal. The bed linens were so soft and the towels were super fluffy. Oh, and don't get me started on the flat-screen TV - perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring!

Honestly, I can't really think of any cons. Maybe some people would find the private bathroom with a hairdryer a bit small, but it was still functional and didn't bother me at all.

The surrounding area offered plenty of local attractions, including the lovely town of Hillsborough and the scenic Mountains of Mourne. our stay was wonderful and we highly recommend this hidden gem.

We did find that the towels provided were a little small, and it would have been nice to have access to apps like Netflix on the TV. Additionally, the retaining wall in the garden area could pose a potential danger to small children and should be fenced off.
